I've been a little MIA on the blog lately in case anyone has noticed. My daughter Emily was in the children's hospital last week. She developed an infection in her hip joint that required emergency surgery. We were admitted Monday and stayed until Friday. The surgery went well, but it was a rough week! Believe me when I say it is quite difficult to help a 2 year old to comprehend the necessity of a hospital stay. We are so glad to be home. She has been recovering well and we took a much needed family trip to the zoo yesterday. She seemed happy to get out and get some fresh air. She has also been insistent on wearing a tiara and princess necklace on a daily basis that she received as a gift from a family member in the hospital lol. Which is a sign she is getting her little personality back. :)
Here are some zoo photos.
I should have brought a real camera, but we have passes now so maybe next time.

ReplyDeleteYikes! So sorry to hear, but happy everything turned out ok. My daughter had a pretty big surgery when she was 2 1/2 so I know about how challenging the hospital stay is. Glad she's better and she deserves to wear the tiara everywhere - brave girl! :)
