Champagne Granita via Made by Mary

I'll take one of these poolside.

The search is over!  I've finally found a mascara that stays on, but doesn't leave me losing lashes by the day.  The product is marketed to treat your individual lash needs, prevent lash loss and promote healthy lashes.

I have been opting for more natural products lately so check back soon for a big list of products I've been loving lately!

Every girl needs a pop of pink in her closet! I love this online boutique plus they ship things out super fast!

Can't wait to wear my new Target suit at the beach in a week! Obsessed with Olive green lately.

May Goals!

Wednesday, May 6, 2015

Hey Ladies!

I've decided to join one of my favorite blogger babes ( Biana @ B Loved Boston ) in sharing my goals for the month of May! Thanks for the inspiration Biana!
♥
I am hoping this way I will feel more accountable and I will post a follow up in June to let you all know how I did ;).

On to my May Goals!

1) Learn to use my DSLR camera
I have this one.  I have been holding out hoping my husband would take up an interest in photography and then show me the ropes, but no such luck just yet.  Looks like it will me up to me. lol

2) Learn to bake Macarons

I swoon over Sweet Bake Shop's macaron pics on instagram on a daily basis.

I don't expect to be a pro at these to start, but at least get an attempt in for the month! I am sure they require tons of practice to perfect. Once Brittany and I finalize everything and begin our home cake business these gorgeous cookies are a must have item! If neither of us are able to master this art we may just decide to hire a fabulous macaron girl! Anyone in the philadelphia area feel free to apply! I'm only half kidding here lol.

3) Narrow down a great list of products to offer for our future business www.Confettiandhearts.com

Decisions, Decisions

4) Master a crepe paper Rose

5) Organize my craft supply/Office

It's current state is not pretty....
I need to get to ikea to snag some more of these boxes so my supplies can be closer to this inspiration photo below!

6) Drink less coffee!

I plan to replace my daily second cup of coffee with a matcha smoothie instead.  Not from starbucks though I am more of a DIY kind of girl!

7) Start this workout!

I tag anyone reading to share a few of their own goals for this month.  I love reading blog posts focused around goal planning. Or leave me a comment!

Start each day with a grateful heart!

I've been a little MIA on the blog lately in case anyone has noticed.  My daughter Emily was in the children's hospital last week.  She developed an infection in her hip joint that required emergency surgery.  We were admitted Monday and stayed until Friday.  The surgery went well, but it was a rough week! Believe me when I say it is quite difficult to help a 2 year old to comprehend the necessity of a hospital stay. We are so glad to be home.  She has been recovering well and we took a much needed family trip to the zoo yesterday.  She seemed happy to get out and get some fresh air.  She has also been insistent on wearing a tiara and princess necklace on a daily basis that she received as a gift from a family member in the hospital lol.  Which is a sign she is getting her little personality back. :)

Here are some zoo photos.
I should have brought a real camera, but we have passes now so maybe next time.

Hyperbiotics PRO- 15 probiotic review!

powered by Brandbacker

Hey Guys!

Today I am sharing my review of Hyperbiotics PRO-15 time release probiotic pearl!

What are probiotics and why do I need them?

Probiotics work to keep your gut healthy by repopulating your stomach with what's known as good bacteria.  Environmental causes, antibiotics, other medications and your diet can have a negative impact on your gut health. Probiotics help ensure a healthy microbiome.  Your microbiome is the population of the microorganisms that live in your gut, mouth, skin and elsewhere in your body.  A compromised microbiome can negatively affect a number of areas such as your immune system, mental state, energy levels, digestion, mood, and even lessen your ability to absorb much needed nutrients.  Which is something to consider if you are taking vitamins, eating healthy and often feeling fatigued.

The many benefits of probiotics

Probiotics help aid in a number of health issues and here is a list of some of the things they can do/prevent

Help keep your immune system in top shape to prevent illness

Control Yeast and Candida overgrowth

Help with eczema and allergies

Improve your mood and energy levels

Get a flatter stomach

Less bloating

Better digestion

Why Hyperbiotics?

Hyperbiotics PRO- 15 comes in the form of a very easy to swallow pearl.  It is superior compared to the typical probiotic capsule as it uses time release technology.  The full benefits are being delivered hour by hour that way you are only required one per day.  This is not the case with other formulas.  The ingredients are 100% naturally derived and it reaches more deeply into your intestinal tract and delivers better than other formulas.

Our Probiotic experience

I have used other probiotic brands on and off prior to trying out this one.  I actually discovered probiotics while in search of remedies to help digestive issues for my oldest son.  He has autism and digestive issues as well as allergies seem to often accompany the disorder.  When he was 3 years old we received the autism diagnosis and implied some dietary changes as well as adding some supplements as well as a probiotic.  We saw immense changes shortly after, but we also began early intervention preschool at the same time.  The week after we made the changes Luke had never given me a kiss on his own before(even when asked) and when prompted he planted one right on my cheek!  He was noticeably less anxious as well.  Some may find it a coincidence.  I am not crediting everything to the lifestyle changes.  I know that the early intervention and support that he gets is largely responsible for his progress.  We are lucky to have an amazing supportive team of therapists and teachers for our son also.  I do feel that getting Luke the proper nutrients and relieving him of constant stomach cramps and constipation associated with autism has made a huge impact  In the form of relief as he was no longer distracted by stomach pains, he was more able and willing to focus.  His problem behaviors dramatically decreased.  We still have our issues from time to time, but I do feel that diet, proper nutrition and doing what we can to improve the digestive issues are an important piece of the puzzle.  Just think about the way you feel when you are sick and uncomfortable.  These problems throw off your focus, mood, etc. The same goes for children.  Especially a child that can't express everything that they need verbally.

I decided to try the probiotics for myself as I suffer from stomach cramps and issues occasionally.  The result was no more cramping in the evening and a much flatter stomach. I overall felt much healthier and had more energy.  I've tried other brands that require you to take them 3 times a day.  I prefer the simplicity of PRO-15.  I know that their ingredient quality is superior as well.

I was lucky enough to be able to try the children's probiotic for Luke and the results have been amazing.  He has not had any issues with being constipated at all after we have began using it.  He takes it no problem and it is smaller than the regular version. You may reference the picture below.

If you experience digestive issues of any kind, are often sick or have recently taken antibiotics I highly encourage you to try this supplement.  I know I won't be going without them anytime soon and neither will Luke.  They have made that much of an impact on our daily lives.

Are probiotics a part of your daily routine for wellness? What daily supplements do you take? I am always interested in learning more about vitamins and natural health/skincare, so feel free to share!
